Laura Burch, DVM
Dr. Burch graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2011. She moved to Georgia shortly thereafter where she has been practicing small animal medicine. The decision to embark on opening a mobile clinic stemmed from a desire to provide a different experience than what can be achieved in the normal veterinary clinic. In-home visits are more personal and convenient and less stressful and rushed. While Dr. Burch loves all aspects of her job, she especially loves building trusting, genuine relationships with her patients and clients. She believes every animal and family is unique and thus enjoys the challenge of partnering with people to make the best decision for their pet in all stages of life. Dr. Burch also works closely with the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) providing community assistance to pets and owners in Floyd county.
In her spare time, Dr. Burch stays busy on her family farm. She is married with two young children who help raise the chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys, guineas, geese, sheep and pigs! She also spends time tending to the large family garden. She is blessed to share life (and chores and childcare!) with her mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law who also live on the farm.
